Corporate Social Responsibility in Freeport
Responsibility and Sustainability
Freeport is not only the first and largest outlet centre in the Czech Republic, but also a leader in tree planting within the environmental pillar of social responsibility. Our vision is to reduce our ecological footprint and support sustainable initiatives.
Green technologies and infrastructure
Freeport plans to install photovoltaic panels to reduce our dependence on fossil fuels and contribute to clean energy production. In addition, we will build charging stations for electric vehicles, promoting green transportation and making travel easier for our environmentally conscious customers.
Sustainable approach to sales and materials
Retailers are increasingly offering products with certifications such as the GOTS (Global Organic Textile Standard), which ensures environmentally and ethically responsible production processes for organic textiles, the RWS (Responsible Wool Standard), which guarantees the ethical treatment of wool production, and the OCS (Organic Content Standard), which verifies the exact organic content of products. These certifications not only increase customer confidence but also contribute to environmental protection.
Cooperation with Sázíme Česko
In 2024, we have established cooperation with Sázíme Česko to plant 250 trees in honour of 250 brands in the centre. This initiative is part of the "Outlet Fashion for the Future" campaign, during which customers who purchased collections made from sustainable materials could receive a personalised tree planting certificate. The campaign ran downtown in April 2024 and celebrated International Earth Day.
